I PLAN To go over this on Thursday - I also plan to have another read aloud - and we will round table discuss some themes as we SPOT and JOT!! BRING A PRINTED COPY of the Excerpt - ALONGSIDE A PEN - We will create a Board of Ideas as We Annotate and Analyze !
1. READ " Miracles" - PAGES 1-5 - RE- READ if you are in my morning class.
We began with the Imagery and documenting thematic phrases - Lets keep that in our notebooks and add the below to your notebook - We will create BOARD on Thursday !
2.WRITE - ANSWER the following IN YOUR NOTEBOOK!!!!!!!!! We will have a fishbowl on Thursday!
- Today we talked about introspective reflection & Contemplative thinking. Provide two examples from " Miracles" with concrete examples of stream of consciousness (inner thoughts and feeling of the character) and discuss how that impacts the beginning of the story.
3.Jot down three SYNONYMS for the word MIRACLE- ___________,__________,________
How does Noah communicate to the reader that he is praying for a miracle? Give one example
4.- extract two examples of IMAGERY - place these examples in quotations- how does this communicate images in the readers mind to help them Feel l what the character is feeling..
* We will have a SPOT and JOT on Thursday in Roundtable - BRING highlighters, pens, the story to class - WE will read the first 10 pages of " Ghost". ! Be prepared and bring a copy to class.
