Part I: Read about theme and tone on pg. 475. In your notebook, jot down the most important elements of identifying theme and tone. You may do this in outline or paragraph form.

 Evaluate the categories in the Favorite Love Poems section. Choose a poem that you identify with. Think about tone and theme.  Print out  ONE poem that interests you.
